Helping the Planet

Here at Baby Rock Fitness, we are dedicated to becoming a carbon neutral company to help protect the environment, so future generations will enjoy our wonderful planet. Being a business, it will always be inevitable that we have some form of carbon footprint; however, we are striving to be as stringent as possible in reducing out footprint.

Detailed below are the current methods we employ to reduce our environmental impact:

All electric used in running our company is supplied by Octopus Energy using a ‘Green Electric’ tariff. This electricity source is generated by wind, solar and hydro generators and essentially makes this ‘net zero’ energy.
All our cleaning products are made by a company called Method. They are a company that care about sustainability. Their products are cruelty-free, their bottles are 100% post consumer recycled (PCR) PET plastic, and their cleaners are non-toxic, plant-based and biodegradable.
Where possible, all ingredients used for our meals are organically sourced and use fairtrade products if available.
Any disposable items and product protective packaging are always recycled to ensure no unnecessary landfill waste.
As an online business we predominantly operate online. However, if in-person meetings are required for any reason, we utilise car-sharing or public transport to reduce our carbon emissions.

Future plans

We still have plans to become entirely carbon neutral. This is a very expensive measure to take, but we are continually working hard to make this goal a reality. Our future projects are:
When we are able to upgrade our premises, we will be purchasing solar panels to further reduce our National Grid reliance, and this method will return unused energy back to the National Grid for others to use.

Whilst we have a small hatchback company car, this is only used for essential reasons. We want to invest in a full electric vehicle once this is affordable.

We are looking into offsetting our current carbon footprint by investing in certified projects that work around the world to reduce carbon emissions.
